Roxana: After these two comments, I'm starting to think Romanian robins lay eggs of a different color :-)

Anne: Not many people know this -- only me, and now you -- robin's eggs are this color because they are the only bird that flies with its mouth open. The sky gets inside of them and colors the eggs....

My mother has a Robin's nest in the garden shed. She's been treading very carefully, so as not to disturb them. At the moment, they seem quite relaxed with her comings and goings.

Pretty blue eggs, aren't they?

Thank you for your answer, James. I do love your explanation so poetic! Have a beautiful weekend!

Isabella

James oh that's what they are, I see shells everywhere, so the little birdies probably popped by now. Excellent close up. Annna :)
